For a wedding or outdoor event on grass, go with a wedge or flat style instead.

These are fashion-first footwear and do not have built-in orthotic support. If you have plantar fasciitis, the flat footbed will likely cause heel pain after 30-60 minutes of standing. You can improve this by adding a stick-on arch support pad — they are inexpensive and make a noticeable difference. For bunions, check that the straps do not cross directly over the bunion joint. If they do, the friction will cause irritation within the first hour. Thong-style straps are not recommended if you have bunions, as the toe post can put pressure on the big toe joint.
